Having started my real estate career in 1979 with Coldwell Banker in Lafayette, CA, I spent years working directly with home buyers and sellers on home purchase transactions, managed a number of real estate offices, and trained both agents and brokers on real estate practice, procedures, risk management, and ethics. I am a licensed California Real Estate Broker (DRE #00697446) and a member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR), California Association of Realtors (CAR) and Contra Costa Association of Realtors (CCAR).
In this role as adviser/consultant, I do not directly represent buyers and sellers in sales transactions, but act as a fee-based consultant helping clients make the best decisions and choices to achieve their objectives in the most advantageous and cost-conserving manner. By functioning as an adviser only, there is no potential conflict of interest in the advice and counsel I provide. Like many fiduciary financial advisers nowadays, I take a clearly defined fee in order to provide objective guidance on all aspects of the home purchase/sale transaction. At the point that a client requires an agent to represent them in a sale, I can assist and guide you in finding the best real estate representative for that process.
